"If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost, that
is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them."
- Henry David Thoreau
Crosier Kilgour & Partners is fortunate to have been involved in a number
of challenging foundation-related projects across Canada, including the northern
territories.
Our experience includes:
- Repairs to existing foundation systems under duress or deterioration for projects
ranging in size from high rise historic structures to single family residences
- Reinforcing the foundations of existing facilities to meet expansion, future
development or programming needs
- Providing innovative designs for new construction to suit unique and challenging
conditions and budgets
On a related note, we were recently recognized by the Consulting Engineers
of Manitoba for our contribution to the development of the Red
River College Princess Street campus in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Crosier Kilgour
& Partners received the Award of Excellence for the Structural Stabilization
and Temporary Support of the Historic Princess Street Facades. The overall project
was selected in the spring of 2002 by nationally acclaimed architects and engineers
to be one of three Canadian buildings competing at the Sustainable Buildings Conference-Green
Building Challenge in Oslo Norway, for which it ranked fifth out of 36 entries.
